Carriage returns – font size – serial numbers

    Hi, hopefully you can provide some guidance — we altered the message text for our template. Now, whenever we save changes it looks like the carriage returns are being removed so that our message text gets all mashed up together.     We’d prefer to have the name of the person — {{learner}} — on its own line. Neither returns nor \n or \r seem to work.

    Also, I’d like to know if there’s any way we can make just the name (and not the rest of the message a larger font size.

    Finally, any possibility to add a unique serial number to each certificate? The automatically-generated certificate title (e.g. 23d72205) would be fine. I suspect this may be a fairly easy one by modifying the PHP code but I’m not sure which file generates the actual PDF document.

    We are aware of the issue with carriage returns. The Certificates 2.0.6 release, due out tomorrow or early next week, will include a fix.

    Also, I’d like to know if there’s any way we can make just the name (and not the rest of the message a larger font size.

    Not unless you put the learner name in a different section (like the heading) instead of the message, since each section has its own font settings.

    Certificates doesn’t allow for this level of customization out-of-the-box. You’d need to get a developer involved to extend the plugin and add this field.

    The PDF is generated by the generate_pdf function in the classes/class-woothemes-sensei-pdf-certificate.php file. Be aware that if you modify this file, it will be overwritten by the next update.
