Change Attachment Permalink

  • How do you change the permalink structure for thumbnail images generated by the gallery function?

    Right now, the click thru URL generated by the gallery tool is:

    month/day/slug-post-name/imagename

    I need it to be

    month/day/slug-post-name/attachment/imagename

    11/05/mariah-carey-shows-off-her-curves-as-she-films-a-new-music-video-on-the-beach-in-la/attachment/83662/

    Is it something that mod_rewrite needs to be enabled for? If so, is there a way to do it without that?

    This is in an nginx server
