I am in page editing hell….advice?
-
Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there is some trick to using the visual page editor that I am missing.
It seems like every simple thing I want to do requires html or css modification. (such as making more space between paragraphs, changing font size, inserting photographs, etc).
I have been sitting in front of my computer for three days straight and I feel all accomplished because I figured out how to insert a freakin’ header!
I am (obviously) new to this, and I guess I expected blog software in general to be a bit more user friendly for someone who has no experience with code (as so many people with no code experience whatsoever seem to have great blogs).
When I go to move things around in the visual page editor, all of my text and photographs get all jumbled and mashed together and evert little thing I want to do requires hours of research on this forum and trial and error. It is almost easier just to go in and modify the html, but I am super slow at working in this way and am getting a bit frustrated.
Can anyone give me some general advice on aligning text and images in the visual page editor. Why does text end up next to the image in the editor, but when I preview the page it looks fine? Should this be like pulling teeth?
I am using the Autofocus template, if that makes a difference at all.
Thanks so much! ??
