    Hi!

I′ve installed the plugin and when I test it with the Facebook testing tool I see an error in the product ID that the pixel is taking from the database. Instead of the ID of the product, the pixel takes a combination of sku or prefix and the product ID.

Example: if product has SKU=”XXX” and product ID=”8888″, then pixel takes for “content_ids” the value “XXX_8888”.

If product hasn′t SKU and the product ID is “8888”, then the pixel takes for “content_ids” the value “wc_post_id_8888”.

Then, when pixel compare “content_ids” with “product_id”, they are different and Facebook shows an error.

When I contact Facebook support they told me that I should contact you to solve it, because it′s a database error.

    Could you help me?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi @webchina,

Thanks for reaching out. Happy to help you with this!

?When using our plugin to update your Facebook shop, a feed file is generated that contains all of the information for each product and passes this along to Facebook on an hourly basis. To get a better idea of where this ID might be coming from, I’d be interested to take a look at that feed file, which can be located in your /wp-content/uploads/facebook_for_woocommerce/ directory in your site and starts with “product_catalog_”.
    ?
So that we can have a more detailed discussion within the context of your site specifically, can I get you to please open up a support request with us here? (Please make sure to mention “Marcus” so I can grab it when it comes in and to include a copy of the feed file!)
