Yes, it happens with Twenty Seventeen as well.

It looks like this function: onFoundVariation in Woo is fired twice on page load if woo-variation-swatches is loaded, which then triggers show-variations twice. If just woo commerce, but not woo-variation-swatches is loaded, then onFoundVariation and show-variations only are triggered once.
