Question about templates

I need to modify some of the inc/template-prts files but I don’t want to modify the original files as they’ll get overwritten on update. Is there a way of copying them to my child theme folder and making the mods there like we can with the themes templates?

If the child’s template exists it gets used, otherwise it uses the plugin template.

If not this would be a great feature for the future.
