Double booking from back-end

Hello!
I have a problem where double booking occured. All settings that avoid double booking have been turned on. so the settings are not the issue.
When a client books from the front-end at let’s say 4pm for 1hour. And then I add a booking the same day the slot for 4pm is indeed unavailable, however, if I book at 3:30pm for 1hour (which would overlap for 30 minutes) it adds the booking even though there is an overlap. This is annoying my client because she has to call up her clients to change their appointment. Is this something I did wrong in the website? or is this a bug?
