Organize files on a page

  • I am very new to WP. I have started a site and created a page where I would like to have several ‘folders’ with each having a number of files within them. Any place I should start?

    I know how to load a file, but not sure how best to organize/ or what tools are available to assist.

  • WordPress doesn’t use folders in the traditional sense – although you can organise your upload folders into month- and year-based folders via Admin/Settings/Miscellaneous. What you could do is create Pages or Posts and then upload specific files whilst working on each Page/Post using the native Add Media tool in the Visual Editor.
