All Pages Opening Within a new Page

    Hello. I have PWA installed on a new WordPress install that is using Avada. The PWA works perfectly, however when any of the links are clicked within the app it opens the browser and opens up the page in-browser vs. in-app. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Are the links to URLs outside of the site (external)? If so, opening in a new browser window would be normal behavior I believe.

    Otherwise, if they are internal links, they should be staying in the PWA window. I’m not sure why that would be. The browser would be determining that behavior.

    Hello Weston. Thank you so much for the very fast reply. I appreciate it.

    All of the links are internal. If you go to https://volhcares.wpengine.com and click on any of the links you will see that they open internally, however if the app is downloaded to an iPad for example the same link will leave the app and opens as if the target was set to (blank). I have read through a bunch of forums trying to figure this one out but am not seeing anything that I have overlooked.

    Do you see the same behavior for other PWAs?

    Note that iOS does not have great support for PWA.

    Good Afternoon Weston,

    I tried a couple other PWAs that other people have developed on Avada and did not see the same issue. I double and triple checked the settings and didn’t see anything missed. I will keep digging but am not seeing anything obvious.
