    Hello Prisna,

I am curious about GDPR. Is this plugin is compatible with GDPR? If not how can we make it possible?

I know that this plugin is using Google Translator API and also curious about Google GDPR Policy. Are they storing any of our Data to their servers for processing of language conversions or in any other mean?

    Kind Regards

    Greetings,

technically, the plugin doesn’t use the Google Translator API. But it does use the free Google translation widget; and as you may or may not know, the core of the translator is loaded directly from Google’s servers, you can check the javascript connections using your browser’s developer tools.

Our part of the code doesn’t store nor track any user related data.

Whenever a visitor goes to your site and selects a language, his/her browser connects to Google’s servers directly. That’s the way Google created it and it’s not technically possible to change it, only Google can.

Perhaps you should include a link to Google’s GDPR notice in your site.

Sorry, but we cannot comment on what Google does or doesn’t do with the data they receive, is beyond our knowledge.

    Regards
