With Yoast activated on my site, Google PageSpeed Insights score was 22, with a suggestion to reduce the impact of third-party code, mostly facebook. I found 4 facebok references in the code. After deactivating Yoast, PageSpeed Insights score jumped to 54, with no suggestion about facebook code. The only two remaining facebook references in the code are now the fb icon (served from my site) and the link to my fb page.

I thought Yoast was supposed to help my site, but instead it dramatically hurt the page load time.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@mwrmwr Would you be able to provide a screenshot of the Google PageSpeed report for when Yoast was active so that we can review the details of what the Facebook references in the code were?

I can’t go back in time to do that. Since that time I’ve disabled other plugings and have raised the PageSpeed Insights score significantly. I did just now do PageSpeed Insights with Yoast both activated and not activated and I see no difference in score. Facebook references are now 9 without Yoast and 11 with Yoast, but seems to make no difference in the PageSpeed Insights score. As they say, it is what it is, but I certainly don’t understand all this. Why it dramatically affected the score before and not now.

@mwrmwr We do understand that you are no longer able to provide the PageSpeed report. We’re glad to hear you are not seeing any increase in page load time due to Yoast SEO anymore, but if you should experience a performance concern again due to the Yoast SEO plugin please let us know.
