I have read this: “Our plugin uses the_content filter to append like and dislike icons . So if your active theme’s posts template doesn’t use the_content filter to display posts content then our plugin won’t be able to display like and dislike icons.”

I am not sure of how I can determine whether my theme is using the_content_filter or not, but nothing is shown after setting it up.

I’m using a Genesis child theme and it has extensive hooks to place code wherever it is needed on the site, but the filters shown in the plugin are listed without instruction don’t give me a clue as to what or how I might add your code to each post.

If I can get it to work and it works as expected I’d be happy to leave a nice review, even a donation, but I was hoping to replace an older plugin that is no longer maintained and not compatible with PHP7.4 so I’m really hoping there is a way to get this running. Help? Most of the other plugins are for social media and we only want a simple “Like” button.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello there,

Thank you for writing to us. You can check in your theme’s template files such as single.php, page.php and check how the post content is being displayed. If it is being displayed using the_content() function then our plugin shall works and the_content() is the standard function which shall be used to display the post content because not only our plugin but many plugin uses that filter to append the necessary stuffs before or after content or modify the content through plugin.

    Regards,
