I have a product that has a minimum order quantity set at 25. I could not use the variations for this product so they have to use the “quantity” field. All of them will go into one box, but when I add to cart it shows shipping each one separate with a total of over $1000 in shipping. How do I make it so this product ships everything in one box and only charges for the single box?

    Hi there,

This would depend entirely on what you are using for your shipping. With most of our shipping extensions (like USPS, UPS, etc), there is a “Packing method” option that allows you to select whether you want the items to be packed into boxes (based on dimensions, weight) or shipped separately.

What are you using for your shipping? Please check the settings to see if there might be a setting like the one described above.

If you are still having trouble, please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your reply. Please note that since this is a public forum, you may want to remove any sensitive information that you don’t want shared publicly.

    Best of luck!

Thanks for the reply. I am using woocommerce’s official plugin for fedex and USPS. I do not see a packing manager anywhere. Additionally, it works as I want it for all of my products with the exception of this one single product that I added. I need to treat it differently and only charge for one box. Is there a plugin that can help me do this? I saw woocommerce had a “table rate” plugin but I am not 100% sure that will work for me.

Ok I found the packing manager. I created a new shipping zone since I need to treat this product different from the rest of my products, and I enabled the packaging in one box. I also setup a shipping class, but I cannot figure out how to make the shipping class I added use the new shipping zone I added. Can you help?

    Hi there,

Glad to hear you were able to find the “Packing method” setting!

I think there might be some confusion about shipping zones and shipping classes. “Shipping zones” are geographic areas where you add shipping methods, but you would not have separate zones for separate products (i.e. wouldn’t have a “US” zone for products A and B, and a “US” zone for product C — after a customer enters their address it would just go down the list of zone and only match the first one, then return the methods in that zone and stop). Also, Shipping classes can be used for setting rates using the Flat Rate method, and other methods like our Table Rate Shipping method, however you wouldn’t set a shipping class to “use a zone”.

Since you are using our WooCommerce USPS and FedEx extensions, please open a ticket at the link below and we can assist further and take a closer look at your settings. Please log in with and open the ticket using the account you purchased the extensions with: https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/?form=ticket

    Thank you!
