    I updated to the latest version of Jetpack earlier today. I now am unable to insert a photo from the media library. When using the image block, I am given two options: “upload” and “insert from URL”, no “media library” option.

    Hi Bruce,

    The Image block in one of the core WordPress blocks. It’s not one that comes with Jetpack.

    Are you referring to another block?

    I am referring to the image block. I wrote a post before updating Jetpack and one after. The former worked as it should, the latter didn’t.

    The only variable is updating Jetpack. I’ll poke around some more. As it stands now, I can’t use the media library.

    It’s definitely a Jetpack problem. If I disable Jetpack, the media library function returns and works properly. Re-enabling Jetpack removes this function.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    This may be caused by a conflict with Jetpack’s External Media feature, that was introduced in Jetpack 8.7 yesterday. That feature applies to the Image block as well as the Gallery block and other Media blocks such as the Slideshow and Tiled Gallery blocks.

    Could you let me know what version of WordPress you currently use on your site? If you’re not running WordPress 5.4.2, what happens when you update? Does the issue disappear?

    Could you also let me know if you use any other plugins that may add or customize blocks in the editor?

    I am using WordPress 5.4.2. Flywheel is my hosting provider.

    I am using Stackable-Gutenberg Blocks and Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg plugins. As a test, I disabled both of them. I still had the same problem.
