    Hi,

Thank you for maintaining this fantastic plugin.

Today on my staging server I encountered an error using the latest ContactForm 7 5.2 and Complianz (GDPR) plugin for cookie consent.

When clicking ‘Accept all cookies’ the error as follows:

Uncaught ReferenceError: wpcf7_recaptcha is not defined
        at HTMLDocument.cmplz_cf7_fire_domContentLoadedEvent (eval at <anonymous> (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2), <anonymous>:6:7)
        at HTMLDocument.dispatch (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:3)
        at HTMLDocument.r.handle (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:3)
        at Object.trigger (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:3)
        at Object.a.event.trigger (jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=1.4.1:2)
        at cmplzRunAfterAllScripts (cookieconfig.min.js?ver=4.6.5:1)
        at cmplzEnableMarketing (cookieconfig.min.js?ver=4.6.5:1)
        at cmplzFireCategories (cookieconfig.min.js?ver=4.6.5:1)
        at CookiePopup.onStatusChange (cookieconfig.min.js?ver=4.6.5:1)
        at CookiePopup.setStatus (cookieconsent.min.js?ver=4.6.5:1)

With CF7 5.1 this works fine. But having upgraded to 5.2 the error is generated and the cookie confirmation box does not disappear.

Is there an easy fix for this? Or is it a problem with Complianz?

    Thanks

  • Hi @designemesis,

I know there is an update from CF7 and the native Recaptcha integration has been moved to another folder. (5.2). That’s why we released our update today as well.

To be honest. I would recommend reverting back to 5.19 of CF7 and wait for ReCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7 to update if needed, we will have a look at our end to see if we need an update as well. This change in CF7 came without warning, so we need to adapt.

    To revert back: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/contact-form-7/advanced/ (below)

    Hope this helps,

    Hi @designemesis,

You can disable the cookie blocker and see if this works if reCaptcha works. It’s in blocking reCaptcha at our end.

    Let me know,

    regards Aert

    Hi @designemesis,

Me again; It seems to work, but I can see the error, which is related to the change in CF7.

    Can you see the same?

    regards Aert

    Hi Aert,

Thank you for the quick reply. Yes I can see the error and understand this is out of your control.

EDIT: Ah I see you are from Complianz my bad I thought you were the plugin author of Recaptcha V2 ??

If there is no easy fix I can stay on CF7 5.1.9 OR I’ll upgrade to recaptcha v3.

Hope there is a fix in the future.

    Thanks

    Hello,

I’m having trouble replicating the issue with the described plugin. Could you go into more detail regarding what setting you’re using please?
