    Hi,

Have a very weird issue on a site, whereby the SEO Title and Descriptions etc. seems to take and show on some pages and not on others. What could be causing this? The pages are the same, just different content.

    Hello @maginem,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Can you please provide us with the URL of the pages affected? We are not sure what is causing this but we can have a look.

    Hello @maginem,

We are not sure why the SEO title and meta descriptions are failing to save. We would like some more information:

    1. Does clearing your caching from your plugin, theme, server, browser, or CDN such as Cloudflare resolve the issue?. If you are not sure how to clear your server caching, please speak with your host provider. This guide explains more about how to clear browser caching: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/.

    2. Does the issue resolve if you use a different browser such as Chrome or FireFox?

    3. If you have any browser plugins, does disabling them resolve the issue?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    With regards to your questions:

    1. No. Am not running the site through a CDN and clearing caches doesn’t help.
    2. Have tried in different browsers with no luck.
Issue seems to be that the markup is not being saved onto the page. When editing in WordPress the meta info is there. But when viewing the page and then the page source, the meta info is not there.
    3. I am not running any plugins that I have not run together with Yoast before. Also, the site is live, so disabling plugins is not really an option.

UPDATE: Not sure what was the cause… but I duplicated the page that was having the issues and on the new page the meta info displays correctly.

    Hi @maginem,

Thank you for your reply and investigation.

Regarding question 3, we were referring to browser extensions and not the plugins on the site. However, we would like you to do a conflict check to see if you can reproduce this behavior when Yoast SEO is the only active plugin on the site. You can do this with the troubleshooting mode that is part of the Health Check plugin. You can find more information about checking for plugin conflicts here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

    Hi,
It appears to be something specific to the page and not plugin related. Possibly some corrupt markup or something. After duplicating the page and saving, all seems to be working fine on the new page.

    Hi @maginem,

Hmm, that is odd. While we are not sure what is causing this on your site, but as previously suggested, we would like to know if this persists when Yoast SEO is the only active plugin using the Health Check plugin.

If you don’t want to troubleshoot this further as you found a workaround, that is just fine too. Thanks!

    Hi,
If I do get a chance to test I will follow up with my findings.
