Good app but Facebook share is a pain to set up
-
The app is awesome, simple, works well. But to get it to work on Facebook with full capabilities you have to create an app. Trouble is, 1) Verifying the Facebook app can take months and 2) it is currently impossible to verify as an app with Facebook as an individual due to Covid, etc. The plugin offers a workaround with SMAP but at least 10 dollars a year.
I managed to get it to work on Facebook and amazingly they approved it the next day. However, I had to create a privacy policy page, terms and conditions page, and make a screencast testing out the app and giving proof. It took me all night to get it working but XYZ gives a clear tutorial.
For Twitter, on the other hand, it was amazingly easy and fast. You still have to create a developer’s account but it was approved immediately and was easy.
So if you’re just using the app for Twitter it’ll work well. But if you don’t want to pay for the Facebook application it’s going to be a pain in the butt. Just writing this because I wasted a lot of time trying to verify on Facebook. Boycott Facebook, support good plugins, hopefully they find a free workaround in the future.
