• Hi, I’ve installed your plugin on a new client’s website for the Coming Soon page. We chose the Hardwork theme since it accommodates a subscription/email capture form, but even though I have disabled the automatic paragraphs function it is not displaying, whether on a phone. tablet or desktop.

We have also seeing that while I have checked the Display Custom Images on Mobile Devices option, the default image is what shows on phones. Today it is displaying on my iphone and ipad, however, so I’m checking with the marketing director I’m working with to see if it’s still showing the default on his phone. I’ll let you know. The email capture form is the primary issue, so I’d be grateful if we could move ahead with that first.

We still have a couple of weeks before the launch target date, so I’m hoping you can help me get these working with enough time to collect some addresses.

    Hello, thanks for reaching out.

Hardwork theme does not support email subscription, please switch to Countdown or Construct, which both do.

Disabling automatic paragraphs function is mainly for using 3rd party shortcodes or code in the content of the coming soon page.

Regarding mobile image – you are right, default image is displaying, maybe your mobile image is not available, or it’s somehow broken?

    Hi Ales, thanks for replying.
What I’m trying to do is insert a third party shortcode (for an email capture form) in the content of the coming soon page. That’s not possible?

The mobile image does show on my iPhone and iPad, just not on all phones. The marketing director’s phone displays the default image. So the image IS available and not broken.

But the main issue is the shortcode not working. I tried Construct and the marketing director requested a different theme. He might be okay with Countdown but only if we can place our custom background image in it.

    Thanks,
    Hannah

    Hi again Ales,
I’ve switched to the Countdown theme and added my 3rd party shortcode. It’s still not displaying. Help?!

Hello, sorry for confusing, using 3rd party shortcode should be available on all themes, so you can use Hardwork if you want.

What is the code you are trying to insert? I can try on my server to check what’s wrong..

Thanks for clarifying, Ales. The shortcode is [et_bloom_inline optin_id=’optin_1′]
I appreciate you staying with this!

Okay, I checked it out and this shortcode requires it’s own JavaScript code to make it work.

Unfortunately that code is not generated by the shortcode but it’s added later by the WordPress – sadly that does not happen on Coming soon page.

I am worried it’s not gonna work.

Why not use our Subscribe forms available in CMP? Both CountDown and Construct supports them.

Thanks, Ales. My client didn’t like Construct, but he’s happy enough with CountDown after I customized it.

So I believe we can call this a successfully resolved issue even though the 3rd party shortcode couldn’t be worked out. Thanks again for your attention and helpful suggestions!
