    Hi,

I was expecting the star ratings to appear in the search results by now, which they haven’t. Other new schema added via wpsso shows in the serps.

I have looked through other forum post and not been able to find something to resolve the issue.

    Thank you for your support.

That webpage is a Schema Review type. When editing that webpage, you would have seen the following notice in the SSO notification area:

An aggregate rating value for this markup has been ignored — Google does not allow an aggregate rating value for the Schema Type https://schema.org/Review.

    See here for details: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/review-snippet

    Thank you for your response.

Although Ive been building and seo…..ing sites for 10 years – this
schema stuff goes above my head. The issue is nothing is clear and there’s no clear guides.

I understand the link to google you attached, however, is a board game a schema.org/Game?

    Game
    Thing > CreativeWork > Game
The Game type represents things which are games. These are typically rule-governed recreational activities, e.g. role-playing games in which players assume the role of characters in a fictional setting.

    Possibly and possibly not.

I would think it was a product, however, when completing the schema it asks for SKU’s etc, so i imagine that is for product sellers, not reviewers. Again, not clear.

Would i better off using schema.org/Article or schema.org/Game?

I do have another review plugin on a site that works well and shows ratings in the SERPS and this shows schema.org/Article.

I appreciate your time on this issue.

The WPSSO RAR add-on appears to be working correctly.

Aside from schema.org, you can find information on Schema types and their markup here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/guides/search-gallery

Note that whatever Schema type you choose, if you request ratings from visitors, it should be for the content of that post/page, not for the subject of that content – ie. the quality of the article (writing, style, structure, etc.), not the subject of that article. See the Google docs above for more information.

    Thank you.

Damn! Seems like I have totally misunderstood this plugin.

I thought I had a review plugin here that could provide user reviews of a product etc.

I don’t think you misunderstood the plugin, I think you misunderstood the Schema markup requirements of Google. Star ratings are for the content, not the subject of that content. If the content is a product, then the star rating is for the product. If the content is an article, then the star rating is for the article. See the Google docs I linked previously.
