    I am having trouble accessing the wp-admin pages. THe browser just spins and a get blank page. Today I’m getting on occasionally, but cannot edit any pages. In firebug I am seeing “try{convertEntities(quicktagsL10n);}catch(e){};
    33/* ]]> */ ConvertEntities is not defined.
    I spent a good part of the day yesterday re-installing WP core files but this didn’t help. I have also tried disabling all plugins -it was finally a database restore that now has me re-accessing again but irratically (not every time).
    I have just updated to WP 2.9 but it has not helped either.
    Please, anyone?!
    THanks

    Ok – it’s Fireblug blocking the access because of this error- tell it to continue running the script and the page loads!
    Duhhh! Anyone else get this error?

    I know I’m late to the game here, but yes, I just came across this today when I was debugging some things (I think it’s just a Firebug thing).

    Yeah it is a firebug thing. Everything works fine if I turn off firebug, I am just curious why it is triggering firebug?
    “convertEntities is not defined” I guess it is an error just not one that effect the website?

    I just had this issue as well… thank you @vezy – disabling Firebug got me in. I can get in on IE8 & Google Chrome. I would like to know why this is.

    I have run in to this multiple times.
    Can this be due to loading other jQuery scripts from plugins?
