Batch Bulk Image Optimize

    I have a staging site with a ton of images that I thought WP Optimize would be able to handle but have been getting error messages after last batch and

    Lots of images – over 20K it initially would run through a batch. however when tested through GMetrix – no detected optimized image

    Now as of this morning I am getting the following message:

    Cannot copy from upload file there was an issue connecting to the image compression server

    I have copies of the logs which show the images not being optimized but failing and producing a 402 error.

    Hi there,

    Could you share your website’s URL?

    According to resmushit (the provider of the compression service), and error 402 means: impossible to fetch the image from $_FILES (usually a local URL). I haven’t seen this one before, so not sure what could be the cause.

    however when tested through GMetrix – no detected optimized image

    GTMetrix might have different compression methods giving different results. What are the compression statistics on some of the images that apparently succeeded?
