Front end Web-based File Manager plugin?

    Can anyone recommend a ‘front end’ Web-based File Manager plugin for WP 2.9?

    I am thinking of something like WP-Vault or the excellent File Thingie:

    which allows the unregistered public and users to upload and download files, make folders etc (according to permissions) and is embedded into page or post.

    There seem to be a few plugins which do the job within the admin section but I cannot find any which do so on the front end.

    If it is possible to port FIle Thingie to WP, it would be wonderful. I have tried using wp-phpexec but could not make it work.
