    Hello WPForms crew,

    First, your plugin is awesome!

But. I still receive spam emails. I get emails with name/surname fields being numbers.

Because I did not know, where the problem is (if bot is bypassing recaptcha (v2 invisible) or what), I tried to add mask for input fields enabling alphabetic characters only. That would mean, that form should be checked for numerical input before submitting. Numerical input would not be allowed.

Anyway, I still get spam emails with numerical name/surname fields, which would mean checking of input fields failed and/or recaptcha failed too – spambot submitted form before it was even checked.

I use WP-Optimize plugin to speed up the loading of page. Maybe there is a problem with order of javascripts’ loading, so javascript file is not available in time.

But I would expect, the form should not be allowed to be submitted before/without verification.

How could I solve this issue?

Thank you for your help and time.

    Best regards
    janko

  • Hello @stclaus,

    Thanks for contacting us!

We’re sorry to hear that you’ve encountered spam issues.

In case it helps to share, if you’re still having spam with reCAPTCHA enabled, you can consider increasing security level of the reCAPTCHA integration on your site by going to your reCAPTCHA account.

Then in the settings of your current integration, you can go to Security Preference and adjust its slider.

And if you’d prefer not to use reCAPTCHA, you can consider the third-party plugins such as WordPress Zero Spam or Spam protection, AntiSpam, FireWall by CleanTalk which work out of the box to protect your forms against spam.

    Hope this helps!

Hello, thank you for your kind reply and sorry for my late answer.

I did some longterm testing. And my final solution is using WP zero spam pluginonly.

I have no spam and my page is loading much faster when compared to solution with recaptcha.

Thank you and have a nice day!
