    Hi,

We are using WP Show Posts to create a carousel on a page that shows the featured image, title, and excerpt of the posts in a particular category.

What we’d like to do is be able to have a Lightbox gallery open when the image in the posts carousel is clicked on (this would be the featured image of a particular post).

An example of what we want to do can be found on: https://www.linandjirsa.com

Just under the section “Wedding Photography Galleries on that page, there’s a carousel. If you click on a photo in that carousel, a Lightbox gallery opens. This LB gallery is populated with various other photos. These other photos are not being pulled from the featured image of the other posts in that carouse.. It looks like they are being pulled from the photos in the body of same post where the featured image is.

Is it possible to use your plugin on the featured image of a post so that there the Lightbox gallery option will exist on that image when it is displayed in the post carousel, and then input the necessary code in other photo in the media galley to populate that image gallery?

Thank you for your time and have a good day!

    Cheers!

Hi, SLB displays links from the current page, so as long as the desired image links are on the current page, they can be displayed in the lightbox.

You can group links (i.e. to be displayed as a separate slideshow in the lightbox) by using the [slb_group] shortcode (documentation).

Note: Though not officially supported (i.e. it could change in a future update), you can also assign the group via a link’s data-slb-group attribute if necessary.

This tutorial on launching slideshows from a single link may also be useful if you only want to display the carousel images on the page and hide the rest of the links that make up the slideshow.
