Problem with Core Web Vitals

    Hey team, hope you well.

    I am trying to adhere to the latest Google guidelines for mobile devices, which require LCP below 2.5 sec.

    “Largest Contentful Paint (LCP): measures loading performance. To provide good user experience, LCP should occur within 2.5 seconds of when the page first starts loading.”

    The problem here is that all of my AMP pages have LCP higher than 2.5, which is increasing the number of errors in Search Console. I tested every other thing before coming here – optimized server, checked plugins, disable featured image on the single post (was adding 1.5 sec to LCP) but it ain’t working.

    Also, this issue is only on the AMP version of my site.

    As per this screenshot, the most time that is taken by a resource to load is the article content but it’s just pain <p> tag, which should not take so much time, even in my test, it loads pretty fast, as you can see in: https://take.ms/jwydA

    Google lighthouse does not provide clear information on what and how to debug in this case from LCP point of view

    Yup, that is the problem. Also, it is hard to believe that only a <p> tag is causing the issue with LCP. Maybe they can provide some insights before rolling the next Algorithm update. Anyway thanks for the respond Ahmed.
