Feed Short Description

    Hi, I’m Jess. I just installed your plugin to create a product feed for Google Shopping Ads. Everything works fine except the product description.

    The problem is – I duplicated several products which are still connected to the “basic” product this has a different short description. On the picture you can see the product (bold name) is connected to the “basic” product with an arrow.

    Now, if I create a feed it always uses the product description of the “basic” product which I duplicated to create a new product. I have no clue why this happens and how I can change it. I tried to use another feed plugin and it works fine.

    Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. I am not sure what you mean by “duplicated products that are connected tot the basic product”, are you talking about variations that use the short description of a parent variable product?

    Hi,
    I’m talking about simple products. I duplicated a product (on the picture: the product right of the arrow) to create a new one (on the picture: the product left to the arrow). How the plugin uses the short description the the first / basic product for both products – they are not connected through variations / grouped product.

    Still not sure what you mean but when we duplicate a product and change the short/main description of the duplicated product then that shows perfectly fine in the feed.
