Elementor Search form gets redirected to default language

Hello,

my default language is English but when I enter a search query in the search field on the secondary language (French-Fr) pages, I’ll be redirected to the English search results.

1) I have created an achieve template in English and French to display a presentable search results page.

2) What I realized is that the moment I preview my site in its default language (English) and enter a search query in the search field, For this example, I will search for the word “Contact” and all results related to the term “contact” appear. Now, I will go to the French version of my site and I will preview my Accueil page (home page in English) and enter a search term in French. After I completed the search I get directed to https://testsite/?s=nous this link brings me to the English achieve page I created. (I am aware you can’t access the link). Notice How Fr isn’t part of the URL but if I manually enter https://testsite/fr/?s=nous I then get directed to the appropriate page.

I don’t know what is responsible for this redirect but I am sure there is a simple solution.
