Can I disable this shortcut creation process?

Because I only have unique folders without images in multiple folders, they are all 1-to-1 (any image is in at most one folder).

But sometimes as I drag files in and out of folders the plugin unnecessarily creates shortcuts for those files instead of moving the originals, and now I’ve got up to 5-6 shortcuts for some files just due to me trying to organize them into folders… and shortcuts don’t keep the original file’s tags (which are crucial for our install).

So how can I disable this shortcut creating business completely?

And is there a way to delete all shortcuts somehow in one batch action, or DB query of some sort, as I see there are now hundreds of them all over the galleries everywhere?

    Thanks.

    Hi @crazyserb,

thanks for your message. Currently, it is not possible to disable this functionality. I think disabling this option is not the solution, more likely to solve the issue that it accidentally creates shortcuts. Can you somehow reprocedure the issue?

Yeah, just have a look at the wp_realmedialibrary_posts table with column isShortcut. It is 0 when no shortcut, or the post id (wp_posts) of the shortcut file.

    Regards,
    Matthew ??
