• Hi,

    I upgraded my blog to 2.8.5 few weeks and suddenly my site broke downa nd is now displaying this error message when I visit my admin area;

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_site_admin() in /home/featurit/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sem-google-analytics/sem-google-analytics-admin.php on line 20

    My main site does not load
    My admin login page loads fine
    But after giving my credentials, the above mentioned fatal error is thrown.

    I understand it is related to google analytics plugin. But what is the best way now for me to fix this issue?

    – can i just delete this plugin from my plugin files? Best would eb to disable it, but how can I do it?

    Thanks much for any help.

  • you can deactivate it since you have access to admin

    or if that fails, delete it or rename it through your ftp or however you normally access your file structure

    Actually, the admin access is failing. It is when i try to login to my admin area, i get this fatal error without loading the admin interface.

    I actually changed the file name via FTP as you suggested and luckily the admin interface loaded for me. Then I undid the file name change after navigating to plugins page in the admin interface and now I de-activated the plugin. It then worked perfectly fine.

    I have now upgraded to latest WP v2.9

    Thanks
