Website with Many Pages – Cannot Access ‘Pages’

  • Hi,

    My website has many page. Around 30 000 pages.

    Now that the site has many pages its has become near impossible to access the ‘pages’ section in my WordPress Admin. It mostly fails with this error ‘504’ before even being able to access the section.

    An if it sometimes does manage to access the ‘pages’ section it will take around 3 – 5 minutes just to load this section.

    Are there any solutions for websites with many pages? To makes accessing this section faster? or at least even accessible?

    504 error is likely a server related issue.

    Therefore, please ask your host why the 504 is occurring.

    I thought this was the case but its not. I upgraded to google cloud with unlimited auto-optimizing. Then rebuilt my site piece by piece and isolated it to too many pages.
