For sure it is cache. Try to clear browser’s/theme’s/server’s cache.

Got it, flushed more caches and that fixed it.

Concerning the cart label of the parameters, is there anyway to change how it is displayed?

There is a setting for that, for each option. Did you try changing the setting?
