Country not being recorded

I have exactly the same problem as in the first image in the document you sent me, in the “Logs” all the columns show data BUT the “Country” column, which is completely empty. It is very important to me to have the countries from where the downloads are made.

Hi, just to make sure we are on the same page. Have you also added your Google Maps API Key in the Advanced Settings tab to properly display the download by country chart.

Hi, yes I installed the Google Maps API Key, and it is not showing any data on the map, I guess it is because de “country” is not being recorded. Actually I do not need the country chart, I just need the country in the Logs.

Hi, you might have a plugin/theme conflict in your site. In order for the country to work you need Google Maps API Key to work correctly or else it will not be able to register the country.

I have read completely the instructions, created a project with a billing account, enabled the “Maps JavaScript API”, but still I can not get the Country recorded in the logs. Is “Maps JavaScript API” the only one needed?

The IP address to country conversion is somehow failing on your site. You are looking at the NEW log entries after you unchecked the “Do Not Capture IP Address” option right? Because for OLD entries where IP address is missing, the country value won’t be there.

The stats menu needs the Maps API. The standard download logs doesn’t need the Maps API. The logs use PHP only. This is an issue with your server preventing the IP to country script from working so that’s where the issue will be. What version of PHP is being used on your server?

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

The “Do Not Capture IP Address” option has been unchecked all the time. In my Logs all the fields but the Country have records (Title, File, Visitor IP, Date, Username, User Agent, Referrer URL).

I am not really interested in the stats menu. I just need the standard download logs. I am using PHP 7.4. I can change it to 7.3, 7.0, 5.6 or 5.5 as they are available at my server.

Nop. I can not see any information of the country, not even in the “Downloads by country list”.

Have you spoken to your host about this issue?
