too many index operations

    I’m finding that WordPress is performing too many indexing operations, sometimes upwards of 1,000 to 2,000 per day. But my content isn’t changing nearly that much.

    Is there a way to control the operations?

    We’re thinking there is a way to throttle indexing. Indexing happens if you create/edit/delete a post/media/meta/term/user, or if you run the reindex within wp-admin dashboard, or from the WP-CLI command.

    Are you noticing it doing so even without any of those triggers?
