• Hello,

I would just like to ask if wpadverts is fully compatible with the new wordpress 5.5 especially because of the new native lazy loading feature.

    Thanks

    Hi,
there is one small problem i noticed, in the [adverts_manage] in the description a new line characters are removed for some reason, i am working on it and today or tomorrow there should be an update that will fix it, other than that it seems to be ok.

Of course before updating the WP to the latest version it is best to have a full site backup so you can restore the site quickly if something goes wrong.

    Hello

After updating to 5.5 the search bar no longer displays properly I’ve also noticed this when script minification is enabled. Using plugins like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/fast-velocity-minify/

    Hi,
thanks for the feedback, i cannot actually replicate this issue on my site so this can be something specific to the website. The search bar on your screenshot displays in a fallback mode which is run when there is some JavaScript error on site.

If you disable the plugin you used to make a fix and paste the link to the page i could check what is the error message and if it comes from WPAdverts (as its possible that some other plugin is generating an error which prevents the WPAdverts scripts from executing).

As for the issue i found i am still working on it, but it seems to be a glitch in the WordPress itself as it is happening with all the plugins disabled :/

The problem started when I upgraded to wordpress 5.5 and I think this was caused by the new jquery update in wordpress 5.5
    Kindly see link https://wptavern.com/major-jquery-changes-on-the-way-for-wordpress-5-5-and-beyond

    Hi,
i am aware of these changes, but like i wrote earlier this problem does not occur on any of my dev sites neither anyone else reported a similar issue, so right now the most likely cause of this is a conflict with some other plugin.

In either case, to be sure i would need a link to the page with this problem so i can see where the problem is originating from.
