after the update worpress 5.5 Transposh won’t work anymore!

Ok did find out, wordpress 5.5 is now working without jquery.migrate and that’s why the plugin is not longer working!

It seems like this broke transposh on all of our websites. The popup window is messed up or not working at all. It is either not loading for https://www.tromjaro.com/es/?tpedit=1 or looks messed up for https://www.ourminds.online/es/?tpedit=1. The only thing that changed for all of these websites was to upgrade to the new wordpress.

Hey guys, I can confirm that WP 5.5 breaks at least the edit function. Re-enabling Enable jQuery Migrate via plugin Enable jQuery Migrate Helper is NOT a solution.

Having the same problem on my sites as well. Edit pop-up window either won’t appear or is broken, depending on which page I’m on.

We need a fix for this ASAP.

It is an urgent measure to the last, but it seems that Transposh will work by installing and activating the following plugins in WordPress 5.5.

Enable jQuery Migrate Helper

This is an interim plugin for WordPress “for the transition period of the jQuery updates that ship with the core”.
It is announced that the next version of WordPress 5.6 will include the latest versions of jQuery and jQuery migrate. Furthermore, it seems that jQuery migrate will not be included in the next WordPress 5.7.

In any case, since this plugin is written using jQuery of the old specification, modification of the plugin is required.

I use personnaly a jqueryui library hosted on a cdn and not to the default wordpress intall to speed up my website
wp_register_script( ‘jqueryui’, ‘https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.12.1/jquery-ui.min.js’, array(‘jquery’), null, true );
wp_enqueue_script( ‘jqueryui’);
I use jquery the same way
wp_deregister_script( ‘jquery’ );
wp_register_script( ‘jquery’, ( ‘https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.2.4/jquery.min.js’ ), false, null, true );
And i get no problem to display the dialog box.

my edit function is only activated as admin, i do load jmigrate only as admin

Today, the latest version of Transposh v1.0.7 was released a few hours ago, I have both tested and tried it and I can tell you that it works great because the developer @oferwald, a very prepared, kind and professional person, has solved many of the bugs that created problems, so I invite you to update with confidence.
