    Hello,
    We are a SiteGround client.
Today, after updating WordPress to its recent version (5.5), our website got skewed.
We asked our developers to check the issue, and this is what they wrote:

    I know what’s the problem.
If I disable Combine JavaScript Files and Defer Render-blocking JS options from SG Optimizer, your website works properly.

When these options are enabled, I can see some js errors in the console, which are blocking VisualComposer scripts and full width code is not added.
I think we have to wait for SG Optimizer update (related to WP update), because manually fixing these issues may be difficult..

What do you say? Is an update for WordPress 5.5 going to be released soon?

    Thanks,
    Noam

  • I believe we are having similar issues since the latest plugin update. We had to disable html minify, java minify and java combine on https://uooutlands.com or all menus disappear and all images that are in java or html. Bummer!

    Hello Stanimir,
    Thanks for your reply.
I would like to answer you privately? How do I do that?
Also, since I am a SiteGround client, should I open a support ticket with SiteGround, and ask them to forward to you?
    Thank you,
    Noam

    Hey @iltel

The issue was that one of your child theme scripts is throwing an error.

I’ve manually excluded the script in theme functions.php and now everything works.

    Please check your site.

    Hey

I’ve added the excluded script at the end of the fuctions.php file.
