• PLEASE HELP! .. Have worked so hard to set up and I did something crazy. I was using the mystique format , but have been reduced practically to CODE!!! I somehow changed the root address so whereas TITLE wp-admin used to get me right to the edit page , now the word WordPress is in the root, and it goes off looking for it then puts everything unformatted in left hand column.

I was trying to get the Google site map for SEO and I misread something and typed my address into a root with the word WORDPRESS as part of the address. I disabled the sitemaps and that allows me to open content, but unformatted. CAN I FIX THIS BY RUNNING WORDPRESS 2.9 and UPGRADING MY 2.8?? 0r what file should I/can I edit?? THANKS!!!

  • Not sure if I entirely understand what your saying to be honest, but if you mean you’ve edited the WordPress/Blog Address on Admin > Settings > General, then read the following carefully and pick one of the methods to change it back:

If you mean something else, then, err, take a deep breath, try to stop shaking, and post back exactly what you did on which page. ??
