  • The same happened to me. There is an issue with the last WordPress update (5.5).
Had to upload previous theme version to make it works as usual.

I still have not been able to fix it. Im gonna hold out just a bit for support to respond. Hopefully its an easy fix.

This is an issue that only the authors of the theme can solve, a lack of compatibility with the last WordPress version. The temporary solution is to upload the previous theme version.

Unfortunately I have not had good previous experiences with the authors of this theme, but let’s hope so.

@tizz Where did you download the previous version? 2.88

I took it from my own backup. You should always have a full backup of your entire site.
From here you can find the older versions of the theme at the Subversion Repository link or Browse in Trac link, but I don’t know where you can download the whole previous package all at once.

Still the same issue with the new 2.90 version…

I did go back to an update from Aug 10 and its back to normal. However, I decided to change the theme altogether. The theme has always been a little weird setup wise. It did the job for a long time being free.

Good decision. I would have done the same long ago if it weren’t that I have neither desire nor time to look for another theme and above all redo the customizations I made to this one via child theme.
But I’ll be forced to change too if they don’t fix it.
There are many free themes that are much more reliable.

I have tested now that the WordPress update has nothing to do with the issue encountered in updating the theme. I tried locally with the previous version of WP and the issue happen anyway, so it’s the theme’s update itself.
    Can the author answer please?

Still the same issue with the new 2.91 version… not funny.
