    Hi there,

Just curious as to why you loading a grey (blue on hover) svg icon in the admin dashboard? All other plugins and core menus utilise a white svg icon with an opacity set which is less on hover.

Only noticed while developing a custom admin theme which uses pure white as the icon colour. Happy to provide screenshots if you can’t recreate.

The SVG is for the “wp-menu-image svg”

    Cheers,

    Giles

@gilesholder Can you please provide a screenshot of where you are referring to in the admin area? Are you referring to the left hand menu of the admin area (see image here)?

Hi Carl, Yes I am referring the left-hand main admin area menu. Screenshot https://ibb.co/xCJv11v shows what I mean. I have set the background of the admin menu to be black and the text/labels white. All other icons automatically are white however yours is still grey. When inspected the SVG file you use is Grey. Just curious as to why this approach when all others use a white svg with an opacity filter following WordPress styling. Cheers, Giles

    Hi @gilesholder,

Thank you for giving us more details.

However, we’re not completely sure this is an issue. When we change our admin color scheme in a local environment, let’s say from Default to Modern (new in 5.5), the icon color change does work for us.

Can you confirm that works on your side too?
