    I noticed about a month ago that my automatic file change detection stopped working. I don’t see any reports in the logs. I have tried disabling the function and re-enabling it and also re-installing the pluglin.

    @kompoghp, @lucidkobold

    I recommend leaving the File Change Detection module disabled.

    The module is known to slow down websites (confirmed via webpagetest.org) and, quite honestly, does not help much in identifying malware. iThemes knowledgebase does not say much about it either.

    Perhaps if iThemes knowledgebase included instructions on how to identify malware using the module’s output or issued suspicious file warnings, then it may be helpful.

    Cheers!
