    Hi,

I’m having issues reconnecting my store to facebook business manager account after v2 of the plugin released. This issue hadn’t gone away with the release 2.0.1 neither.

I follow all the instructions and get to the last screen confirming the successful connection. But when I click “done”, I get an error message from WooCommerce. In the store I see the same message asking me to reconnect to facebook

    Hi @dmitrybabanov

Thanks for getting in touch with us about our Facebook for WooCommerce plugin. I’m truly sorry for the frustrations that our plugin’s updates have been causing.

We’re aware that the latest versions of the plugin have some connectivity issues and resolving this is a high priority for us. Our team has coordinated with the Facebook team in the past couple of weeks as they’ve released changes set to improve the connectivity.

Merchants have been experiencing one of two error messages, one with the WooCommerce logo and another with the wrench, so I need a bit more information here.

To better diagnose the problem, could you please send a screenshot of the issue you’re running into?

    Thanks!
    Christine

    Hi @mariusgmh?,
    ?
Thanks for the screenshot! I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue as well. Per the forum guidelines, would you please start your own topic? As we quite often see issues that look similar in nature but have very different underlying causes. A topic per user helps us focus on your specific issue to get to the root cause for you quicker!
    ?
    Thanks!
    Christine

I did post a screenshot with WooCommerce logo

    WooCommerce Version 4.3.1
    Facebook for WooCommerce Version 2.0.1

    Made a new topic

    @mariusgmh

I’m sorry for not being more clear here! My request for the screenshot was for @dmitrybabanov

@mariusgmh if you could please start your own topic, this would be really helpful for us to focus on each issue separately, as we quite often see similar issues have very different underlying causes.

    Thanks!
    Christine

@mariusgmh looks like you beat me to the punch with the response ??

Thanks so much for starting the new topic!

Here is the last message I see from Facebook about successful connection:

Here is the next screen with the message from WooCommerce saying something went wrong:

I must add that when I’m trying the reconnection again, Facebook says that my website is already connected. At the same time I see a message inside my WordPress dashboard that I need to reconnect

@christineskyverge I posted the screenshots above

    Hi @dmitrybabanov

Thanks for the screenshots, it’s a big help! I’m sorry that the plugin is giving you an error message after the successful connection message. That’s quite frustrating!

To start off, let’s see if any connection was made. Could you please check if the system users for the plugin was created? You could that by following these steps:

    – log into Business Manager
    – Make sure to select the same Business that was used in the setup process
    – Click Users > System Users
    – Then, you should see a WooCommerce system user. Here’s what that looks like: https://cloud.skyver.ge/YEuor1ZB

Additionally, in your WordPress admin, please navigate to WooCommerce > Facebook and check if you have the ‘Manage Connection’ button like this: https://cloud.skyver.ge/jkuZvlPz

Could you please let me know once you’ve checked those things and what you find?

    Thanks so much!

    Hi @christineskyverge

Yes, I have system user in my business manager, even three of them (maybe because of multiple attempts to reconnect the plugin):

    – WooCommerce Extension V2 System User (FBE)
    – WooCommerce Extension V2 System User (FBE) (1)
    – WooCommerce Extension V2 System User (FBE) (2)

As for Facebook dashboard in WooCommerce, I don’t have the mentioned button. I only have this:

    Hi @dmitrybabanov

Thanks for confirming that! It’s a great help.

As a next step, would you be willing to remove the connection from WooCommerce to Facebook? You can do that by following these steps:

    1. Log into your Facebook account and navigate to the Business Integrations section. Click here for a direct link to it.
    2. Under the Active tab, click WooCommerce Extension V2
    3. Then, scroll down and click on Remove to remove the app

    Here’s what step 3 looks like: https://cloud.skyver.ge/z8uZlQmB

This will remove the app’s connection from Facebook so you can run a fresh install.

Once that’s done, could you please go through the setup process again by clicking on Get Started on the Facebook dashboard in WooCommerce?

Would you please let me know how this goes? I’d appreciate it!

    Thanks!

    @christineskyverge

I did it and after trying to connect again got the same error message in the end: “Something went wrong when connecting to Facebook!”

    Hi @dmitrybabanov

Thanks so much for trying that!

To further investigate this, would you please reach out to our support team through our site sharing the email address you use for your Facebook account, along with your Business Manager ID?

Then, the Facebook team can take a look at the logs and determine why your attempts to connect are failing.

You could get in touch with us directly here: https://www.skyverge.com/contact/

If you need help finding your Business Manager ID, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Business Manager page.
    2. Select the business you want to connect to.
    3. Check the URL – you should see a business_id value there.

Could you please include your forum username in the email also? So we could connect the email to your thread here.

    Thanks!
