    Hi,

Since the Woocommerce 4.4.1 update, it won’t connect to payment gateway.
I use Woocommerce PayPal Pro Hosted plugin (v1.0.22)

Click ‘Proceed to Payment’ the PayPal iFrame loads but then a box pops up that says “please wait a few seconds to be able to make payment” and a never-ending spinny thing and it never connects.

    Tried:
    Default WordPress theme.
Disabled all other plugins and ran Woocommerce and PayPal Pro Hosted.
Tried this with Child theme, Theme I use and Default WordPress theme.
Rolled back Woocommerce to last version.
    Cleared all caches/cloudflare etc.

I upgraded the to Woocommerce 4.4.1 one evening.
Over night I received several orders, it was only when I upgraded the database it stopped working.

  • @fatpotanga I’m also experiencing this problem did you find a solution?

    Hi @benedict101 and @fatpotanga ,

Is this happening in all browsers or just a specific browser? Also, if you switch to test mode does the same issue happen?

If you can check in your browser console for any JavaScript errors, that may help us narrow down this issue further.

For me this happens in multiple browsers. In Chrome there are no JavaScript errors, in FireFox I see:

Invalid X-Frame-Options header was found when loading “https://securepayments.paypal.com/webapps/HostedSoleSolutionApp/webflow/sparta/hostedSoleSolutionProcess?hosted_button_id=HSSS-tyhe2Ovt30ttx7JdGO9Uw77goiHzuhw414gjadlYF7aqgd5qkqddyz1-Z9.w1SaymccbFw”: “ALLOWALL” is not a valid directive.

The issue does seem to be JavaScript side – in that the BlockUI component is not removed / hidden as expected: If I remove it manually in the browser I can continue to payment as normal.

For me the issue was caused by Cloudflare’s Rocket Loader feature, adding a bypass rule to the checkout page seems to have resolved it.

My apologies @benedict101 @mikestraw for some reason I didn’t get any notifications of your replies.

My customers use every browser, OS, phone, tablet etc.
Not had a single successful order. Same in test mode, it just hangs indefinitely.

My temp workaround was to install Woocommerce PayPal Checkout – it’s saved my business. I have to say, visually it’s a far more elegant checkout and not having to enter card type etc. is nice. downside is it’s awkward as customers have to re-enter all their address details so I’m keen for Pro Hosted to be resolved.

    Safari and Chrome no errors

    Fantastic – I’ll give this a try now…

@benedict101 Rocket Loader bypass sorted it. Thanks so much for your help and a solution, it’s really appreciated. Have a virtual beer on me ??
