    I mean this theme

    well, that isn’t a wordpress site from what I can tell

    and there is no identification anywhere in the code/css

    I’m sure you can find a theme similar to that, but that isn’t a wordpress theme

    Seems that its not a WordPress theme. If you want clean looks, you can try Thesis or WPsimpy WordPress theme. It has similar magazine style appearance. Otherwise search WordPress theme directory with white or clean keywords.
