Your plugin is just what I need. I downloaded the free version and I got these error messages. How can I fix them? I was looking at purchasing your PRO package with the search add-on, but I want to get this issue resolved first so I can upload a few documents and see it in action. Thanks!

    Errors I’m getting:

    Cannot Create Linux Folder: /srv/htdocs/wp-content/uploads/simple-file-list/
Cannot create the upload directory: /srv/htdocs/wp-content/uploads/simple-file-list/
    Please check directory permissions
The upload directory is acting up.

This error indicates that PHP cannot create the file directory. For some reason the mkdir() function is failing.

First make sure that the path shown in the error is accurate and that the permissions & ownership for your uploads folder is correct, and do you have any plugins that may be preventing the creation.

You could also simply create the “wp-content/uploads/simple-file-list/” folder yourself using FTP or your file manager. Simple File List will index any files you place in this folder.

    Let me know …

    Hiya,

https://simplefilelist.com/ keep saying protected by immunify and has captcha to verify human. I fill it out, page refreshes saying same thing and I fill it out again. Did it over 4 times before I gave up and used a VPN to reach your site from a different IP.

Thank you for that. I’ve adjusted the security. Could you let me know if it works for you now?

    Hi Mitch!

Thank you for the great plugin!

I just sent you a support message from your website but I’m not sure if the message went through because the support page always stays white at the first loading .. so please let me know if you got it. If not, should I write my problem down here?

    Thank you!

Hi. I have not received a message from you. My support form has been working well lately.

If your issue is related to the free plugin available here, then go ahead. Otherwise please try the form again or directly at support at simplefilelist dot com

    Hi Mitch!

I just sent the message again (not from Firefox but Chrome) and it worked!

Thank you for any help in advance!

    Hi Mitchell!

I just sent you a support message on simplefilelist.com – it says it is sending and than it leads me to the home page so I can’t say if it is really sent or not. I sent it twice, via Firefox and Chrome (like the last time) but both browsers react the same way.
I’m still waiting for the answer of my first request (1 month ago). So I’m not sure if the form really works.

Nevertheless, I really need help for the current problem so if the form is not working properly and you didn’t get any request from me, what communication options do I else have as a Simple File List Pro customer?

    Appreciate your early answer!

    Thank you!

ps: Could it be that the attachment has a limit of 2 MB or below? Mine is around 2.5 MB … could it be that to large attachment or text is not shown as error? There is no limitation information.

Hello, Sorry I missed your message. The form is working and I am getting messages through it, but you can email me directly at support at simplefilelist dot com

Been happily using your plugin for months. Very useful. Recently it has been stalling out when I upload a larger file. The progress bar gets to 100% and then it just stops. It doesn’t show any other indication and it just sits there. I have left it for an hour to no effect. This is usually on 2GB size files, which have worked in the past.

Any logs or debugging that I can enable to figure this out? Or any other recommendations?
    Thanks!

    Hello,

You can enable debugging on your site to see what PHP errors are being thrown. Also, if you view your web browser’s console while uploading, you can see the steps and where it stalls out.
