WordFence alerts for domain I don’t own

If you no longer have any access to the admin side of the site and it’s running at least version 7.1.9 of Wordfence, you should see a link inside the email titled, “No longer an administrator for this site? Click here to stop receiving security alerts”. This feature was designed for this kind of scenario and will prevent you receiving further communications from Wordfence for this site.

Hi Peter, thanks. I did that about a month ago but I still receive them. I’ll try again.

I clicked it again and all it does is take me to a parking space for the domain that says “The domain [myolddomain.com] has been registered on AfterMarket.pl.”

Unfortunately, after the domain expired, it looks like the hosting for the WordPress site is still active somewhere.

I recommend contacting your previous hosts for this domain (Siteground?) to state that you wish to have the WordPress installation removed as you’re still receiving active alerts from it. Until then, set up an email filter to redirect the emails from this site to another folder if you no longer wish to see them pop up regularly in your inbox.

Thanks Peter, that did it. They showed me how to go to cPanel and “Destroy” (delete) the installation for that site.
