    This is a fantastically useful plugin. Thanks so much!

    I did the update to 1.8.2 this morning. It looks like all is well on both the public site and in the admin, but this error did appear:

    Fatal error: Uncaught GFExcel\Notification\Exception\NotificationRepositoryException: Notifications could not be stored. in /home/xxxxx/public_html/2019/wp-content/plugins/gf-entries-in-excel/src/Notification/Repository/NotificationRepository.php:78 Stack trace: #0 /home/xxxxx/public_html/2019/wp-content/plugins/gf-entries-in-excel/src/Notification/Repository/NotificationRepository.php(65): GFExcel\Notification\Repository\NotificationRepository->createNewStoreException() #1 /home/xxxxx/public_html/2019/wp-content/plugins/gf-entries-in-excel/src/Notification/Manager/NotificationManager.php(147): GFExcel\Notification\Repository\NotificationRepository->storeNotification(Object(GFExcel\Notification\Notification)) #2 /home/xxxxx/public_html/2019/wp-content/plugins/gf-entries-in-excel/src/Migration/Migration_1_8_0.php(51): GFExcel\Notification\Manager\NotificationManager->storeNotification(Object(GFExcel\Notification\Notification)) #3 /home/xxxxx/public_html/2019/wp-content/plugins/gf-entries-in-excel/src/Migrati in /home/xxxxx/public_html/2019/wp-content/plugins/gf-entries-in-excel/src/Migration/Migration_1_8_0.php on line 55

    So far, I’m not seeing a problem with the site, and don’t really need a response. Just thought you’d find it useful know what appeared in case it shows up again.

    Thanks, Jo Marshall

    @jgmarshall Thanks for letting me know. I think I know what the problem is. I’ve added this nice notification system to let everyone know about the new add-on I want to build. I’ve added an emoticon to the message, and I now realize that not everybody’s database is capable of storing those characters. Which in turn stops the notification from being stored, and that triggers the error.

    I’m going to run some tests, and probably fix it in 1.8.3 soon. Again, thanks for letting me know! ??

    @jgmarshall I’ve tested it, and the collation of the database is indeed a problem here. So I’ve updated the notification and released 1.8.3. After that plugins should no longer say that something went wrong ??

    (Nothing did go wrong though. It was just this error after the plugin was updated. But still, nice to see the green notification ?? )
