    Hello,
is it possible via custom function inside functions.php to make an animated circle show upon searching – like with Ajax search form.
So, in custom form when search button is clicked to show the circle?
    Thanks in advance, with regards.

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

If you are using the AJAX search provided by the Ivory Search plugin then it displays an animated loader gif in the search input field.

If this is not what you are trying to achieve then could you please share the example of what you want to achieve or describe it a bit more in detail?

    Best regards,

    Ok thanks,
so, I don’t want to activate AJAX search. I just want to display the loader whenever the user clicks the search button on custom non-AJAX form. The search takes a while until the user is taken to the results page so I would like the user to have a visual sense that something is happening.

To achieve this, you have to develop custom code in the child theme of the that you are using on your website.

Developing custom code for custom functionality is beyond the scope of support that I provide here.

To develop it, you can contact the theme author or consider hiring a developer to develop it for you.
