• With certain searches Relevanssi gives a critical error when I search from the translated version of the page.

For example on the link I provided I am searching for a number with a dash. That gave a critical error. But also if I look for example for a term name in that language, like Lavabottiglie it gives a critical error. Others, like a ref number don’t give this error. For example “lv27”. The sdimple number 110 gives a critical error.

When I disable relevanssi, wordpress does provide the search result normally.

    The WP_errorlog keeps saying:

[28-Aug-2020 11:16:32 UTC] PHP Recoverable fatal error: Object of class WP_Term could not be converted to string in /home/usedbott/public_html/wp-content/plugins/relevanssi/lib/excerpts-highlights.php on line 1219

Update: after reviewing the settings again, and disabling

Custom excerpts/snippets => Create custom search result snippets

The issue seems to be handled. But I would suggest a more graceful way of failing.

Which version of Relevanssi are you using? I added a fix for this specific error in the latest version (4.8.1), so if you’re not using that, install and it should get you rid of the error.
