I know just enough WP to get into trouble, which is exactly what happened.

I was trying to following a suggestion for showing a certain # of posts and followed the instructions I found here:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/257947

I thought if it didn’t work, I could always just go back and delete it. BUT ….. I cannot even access my dashboard. If I go to my webpage, https://marleysmutts.com, there is nothing there but the error message.

Can someone help before I have a full-blown panic attack?

    Thanks,

    Judy

It appears I have always logged in at the website, using the admin access link. I can’t reach that link because the website has crashed.

Can you tell me how to log in from the “back end”?

    Please, someone???

I’ve read and re-read the Code for log in problems and it doesn’t appear that anything there can help. How can I deactivate plug-ins, for example, when I cannot access the Dashboard?

I don’t think the log-in.php is corrupted either. It apparently has solely to do with adding that piece of code that was suggested in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/257947?replies=2 because as soon as I copied and pasted it into the Function template, the site was lost.

Do I have any options left to fix this? Is it a lost cause?

This is what I get when I try to access the site:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENDWHILE in /home/marleysm/public_html/wp-content/themes/pretty-spots/functions.php on line 92

    The site is: https://marleysmutts.com

    Thanks.

Please help me, I have been ill for a while and someone asked me what
happened to my blog. I can’t get it or log in, there is a parse error
that comes up. I don’t have any idea what happened or what to do, it is
    https://www.thepowerofbeing.net. Please help.

    Thank you

It may be a long shot..

But I have experienced that my page/admin/something crashed and I thought the world was going under. But I found out, that an empty line or space in the funtions.php-file can take the whole thing down.

Don’t know if thats you problem?

dmolini you may want to start a new thread aa this one is old and marked as resolved, but either way it is probably a hosting issue, have you spoken to your web host?
