• PetFinder recently deactivated their v1 API and my site quit working. Does this plugin support their v2 API? I volunteer for an animal shelter and am trying to get this rectified quickly. Thanks

Yes it does! Be sure you are updated to the latest version of the Petfinder plugin. The Settings page has instructions/links on how to get your v2 API keys from Petfinder.

excellent! Thank you for your quick response! I already have it up and running. This is a life saver! (for me and the animals at our shelter!)

Let me know if I need to start a new topic please. We are redesigning a very old html site that uses an embedded link in an iframe to display petfinder content.

We are designing our new site under a second domain name which will run parallel until we switch over.

Question: Will generating the v2 API for the new site cause a problem with the old embedded link on the old site? We still need the old site and link to work in the interim. This is the old link format:
    https://fpm.petfinder.com/petlist/petlist.cgi?shelter=XXXX&status=A&age=&limit=100&offset=0&animal=&title=&style=11&ref=eg1234567890

@jjazzbel – I don’t see any reason why your old petfinder link to display pets would stop working after you generate a v2 API key. It should be fine – but if you wanted to really make sure, you could check with Petfinder support.

Thank you for your response @bridgetwes .

Again, Please let me know if I need a new thread —

I have set up the API and it is displaying all results from our shelter correctly, but Too Much Information TMI! it scrolls and scrolls and scrolls… so We tried your pagination within a table using the short codes [shelter_list count=5 page=1]? [shelter_list count=5 page=2]? [shelter_list count=5 page=3] in the columns. That is great, except, again, TMI. Ours really just needs to look more like a thumb gallery with limited information and possibly with one main image.

Do you already support this and I just haven’t found it yet? or what do you recommend for the following needs:
    1) how to offer selection criteria such as animal type, breed, age, size
    2) display those results with main picture or thumb only and very limited information.

I have just installed NinjaForms Webhooks thinking that might allow us to send selection criteria. I hate to chase this if it is not compatible, and still struggle with how to display the results.

    Thank you for any suggestions.
